Upgraded Tuesdays || Whitney “No Woman”
Chicago folk-rockers, Whitney, have just released their lead single “No Woman” from their (currently untitled) debut album. It’s a perfect arrangement of soul meets country; the tone of the song alongside the visuals reminds me of home. This track has me hooked, and I’m excited to see what else Whitney’s frontman, Julien Ehrlich and guitarist, Max Kakacek have in store for us. Way to keep us hanging’ boys!

L.A.M.B. x Burton || Fall/Winter 2015
Words by Kate Wotherspoon
Lookbook Images provided by Jane Gill PR
BURTON has reunited forces with L.A.M.B. for the 2015 Women’s Outerwear collection and let me just say, this collection will bring your winter wardrobe to new heights – the mountains will be jealous.
This unique collaboration was inspired by Gwen Stefani’s music during the recording of her new album and the pieces exude the perfect combination of edgy and chic. The patterns and cuts are creative and cool but radiate a ton of personality.
The softness of baby blue hues matched with forest greens and stylish leopard print; crisp white with silver undertones and bright red paired with the classic army motif; these pieces should be worn on the streets, just as much as the slopes. With the tech-savvy functionality Burton is known for, plus the rebellious style of Gwen Stefani, you will be set for an incredibly rad winter season!
The collection hits select stores this October, and if the success is anything like their last duo in 2014, these pieces WILL be collector’s items, so you better snag them quick!

Casey Brooks || CASI
Words by Kate Wotherspoon
New York in 15 intriguing locations, the song “About You” by XXYYXX , an incredible dance duo and some rad oversized suits. Casey Brooks directed one damn cool video. Danced by Hillary Pearson & Maria Volpe this short explores simple movements across various settings. With slight time & speed manipulation there’s a sort of frantic vibration which is then layered with a cool slow beat, I fricken love it. Casey Brooks makes a flipped umbrella look cool and walking on all fours (in heels) is so dynamic, alluring and sexy. Well done.
Miss Brooks, hire me please, k thanks. ;) xxo
